President and Chief Executive Officer
James is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fortefi and is responsible for steering the strategic direction of the company. Under his leadership since 2004, the company has grown into a world-wide operation selling to Fortune 500 companies across the globe.
James brings a wealth of experience from both commercial and operational aspects to Fortefi. He has worked in a wide range of managerial and technical positions throughout the software industry including such companies as Symantec and Axent Technologies.
Prior to co-founding the company, James was Sales Director for PassGo Technologies where he was responsible for building their commercial operation following a management buy-out from Symantec.
Richard Boulton
Chief Technology Officer
Richard is Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Fortefi. In this position he is responsible for strategic and technical direction for the entire suite of security software solutions.
Richard has maintained an active role in product development and is the architect of Fortefi's ground-breaking Framework architecture. He has over fifteen years of experience in the software engineering field with specific expertise in the development of enterprise security systems.
Prior to co-founding Fortefi, Richard was Lead Software Engineer for PassGo Technologies and enjoyed a broad range of experience working as a software engineer for Symantec and British Aerospace (Military Aircraft Division).
Gary Strickland
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Gary is responsible for developing Fortefi's financial and administrative operations.
Gary brings extensive financial and entrepreneurial expertise to the company and has been pivotal in developing the organization. His experience in having led teams in raising over 120 million dollars in funding and taken companies like ZipLink through an Initial Public Offering make Gary a key in the team's capital raising initiatives.
Gary has held key financial leadership roles for both venture funded and publicly traded technology corporations, including SunGard BancWare, AP Engines, ZipLink, and GammaGraphX. He began his career at Ernst & Young and was licensed as a CPA in 1988.
Christopher Taylor
Vice President, Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering, Chris is responsible for the technical direction and development of Fortefi's UNIX and Linux security product range.
Chris comes from a very strong UNIX development background and provides technical backup and support on many aspects of ICT both within Fortefi, and as a consultancy service to Fortefi's client base. He has worked with some of the largest organizations in the world and is an expert on mid-range engineering.
Prior to joining Fortefi, Chris worked as Lead Software Engineer for PassGo Technologies and has worked in the ICT Security sector since becoming a member of Computing Services at Coventry University in 1992.
Martin Cannard
Vice President, Corporate Development
Martin is Vice President of Corporate Development at Fortefi and is responsible for developing strategic partnerships and managing the companys operations across the Americas region.
Martin brings nearly 20 years of software development and operational management experience to the company. Before joining Fortefi, Martin served as Program Manager of Client Technologies at Symantec Corporation where he was responsible for technology development for the ground-breaking enablement toolkit application.
Previously, Martin managed the European QA group at Axent Technologies. In addition, Martin has held various management positions in consulting, development and operations at companies such as PassGo Technologies, Granada, and Excel Logistics.
