Fast, Easy Implementation

Fortefi Self Service helps organizations lower support costs by providing a secure and effective process for users to reset their own passwords, minimizing the number of calls to the helpdesk.

Identity is confirmed through correct responses to a series of security questions which are randomly selected from administrator and user-defined values.

SIMPLE IMPLEMENTATION
  orangebullet

A single-domain solution can be running in a matter of hours with little configuration.

  orangebullet

Create an administrator-defined pool of mandatory questions, and require users to register personal questions and answers.

  orangebullet

Install a 'kiosk' account to provide locked out users access to Self Service by simply typing a known userid, e.g., 'help'.

  orangebullet

Validate passwords against domain security policy for consistency.

REAL-TIME ALERTS AND AUDITING
  orangebullet

Deliver real-time alerts directly to the user and/or administrator using email templates on any condition from a successful account reset event to a failed user authentication.

  orangebullet

Pull scheduled numbers of events into the Fortefi Compliance Auditor, a tool that provides auditors with an indelible audit trail of activity.

  orangebullet

Customize alert emails and recipients using available runtime metadata tokens in the alert templates.

USER FRIENDLY INTERFACE
  orangebullet

Self Service requires little configuration and can be installed on a single machine for fast deployment. Adding additional hosts provides automatic failover between components.

  orangebullet

Users register their answer values and any required personal questions using a simple Flash-driven interface.

  orangebullet

The password reset tool is accessed either from another user's browser, or by logging on to a kiosk account.

  orangebullet

Once a userid has been entered and validated against registered accounts, a randomized set of questions is presented to the user. Upon a complete set of correct answers, the user is asked to enter a new password to reset the account.
