Fortefi offers a suite of tools targeted to both the security administrator and IT helpdesk, for the management and control of user identities and access rights.
All modules run on top of the Fortefi Framework, the foundation for all Fortefi products. This architecture provides platform independence for each solution and establishes a core infrastructure over which any Fortefi module can be deployed and managed. Individual administrative control over each application is achieved through a centralized, role-based web interface. Additionally, all components of the Framework utilize a common live update function, with built-in tools to stage updates prior to production deployment.
Current solutions, which are separately available, include:
Fortefi Provisioning provides a single management point for account creation, policy enforcement and removal across multiple operating systems. Policy Enforcement Agents normalize and enhance native system security controls. Standard account templates facilitate unified compliance with regulatory legislation, and every managed resource can be organized into hierarchical domains for administrative and policy management purposes. Provisioning's user profiling and global account mapping functions allow for the identification and removal of orphaned accounts. An administrator drags and drops user profiles onto a global account container to create associations; once established, passwords are synchronized and all account functions can be controlled from a single entity. |

Fortefi Self Service allows users to reset their own accounts. Users who have forgotten their password, or who have inadvertently locked their account, can sign into Self Service from a Web browser on their own computer or that of a colleague. Identity is confirmed through correct responses to a configurable series of security questions which includes a specified number of default administrator's questions and the users' own personal questions. A range of alerts including account lock out and password reset attempts can be emailed to administrators, along with authorization confirmation messages to account holders. The product is designed to be integrated into an organization's existing environment, the agent incorporates an HTTP Web server which provides browser access to the password reset functionality across the enterprise intranet or extranet. By deploying a group policy, access to the Self Service password function may be provided at the user's desktop through a 'kiosk' account. |
